Liat Bostick and her business partner (Liz Behrens) sold our house in the Montclair neighborhood of Oakland, CA this month for over 50% of the listing price. Our house looks great on its own with good bones and a nice spacious backyard—rare in Montclair--but Liat presented the house in the best possible light, highlighting the many pluses for the potential buyers to see. Liat is a pro. She has extensive knowledge of the Oakland/Montclair market and has excellent skills in explaining to us every step of the journey. The timeline she provided was clear and she stuck to every milestone date including the listing of the house. Just as important as the sales result is that Liat accomplished the multitude of tasks involved in selling our house without us having to worry about them. They just got done. Liat's service as a listing agent is end-to-end, meaning she (and partner Liz) coordinated all the tasks involved in selling our house from hiring professional contractors to paint the house interior, wash the windows, refinish the floor, make small handyman repairs throughout, complete cleaning of the house, stage the house interior/exterior, and professional home photography for Multiple Listing Service (MLS), all these backed up by proper receipts and explanation. She has extensive vendor contacts. All these improvements made the house move-in ready and came within budget. In the end, they paid off handsomely based on the number and quality of offers we received. Liat also guided us through the mountain of documents we have to read and sign, explaining to us what each section meant. We are very happy with the result of our home sale. She delivered on everything she promised and more. We were so impressed that I dubbed the team of Liat Bostick and Liz Behrens super agents when we signed the final escrow documents. We are so happy to have worked with Liat to sell our house. We moved out of the country, so we had to put a lot of trust in her to manage the whole process in our absence. She did an incredible job. Her amazing team of tradespeople swooped in and got the house ready for market 2 weeks after we left. 3 weeks after that, it sold, for over asking. Every conversation with Liat was honest and straightforward, very to-the-point. She gave us good advice about what to fix, about pricing and how to consider the offers. Adding a long overdue update to our review! Liat recently helped us to purchase our newest home and sell our first home that we had purchased with her in 2018. When we unexpectedly decided to put an offer on a home that we saw on a whim for fun, Liat jumped right on getting us all of the information we needed to compile and turn around an offer three days later. As always, Liat made the home buying process so smooth and supportive, with lots of calls and extra visits to the property to make sure we were really anchored in our decision and offer. When our offer was accepted, we immediately turned around to begin the selling process for our current home, which was a new and daunting experience for us. Liat organized a fantastic crew of tradespeople to prep our house for sale in the least amount of time possible so that we could get on the market within a month. The prep that she encouraged us to do in order to drive interest and offers was spot on, and we ended up with multiple offers on our home for more than we were expecting given the market at the time. Liat is the most incredible, skilled, knowledgable, and compassionate realtor - she really cares so much about her clients and helping folks navigate the real estate landscape. I can't recommend Liat Bostick highly enough. Having been recently widowed, selling my home of almost thirty years was extremely daunting. Liat is very knowledgeable about the local market, always available and responsive, and helped navigate the thousand questions we had first in buying and then in selling a home. When we bought our house we were new to the Oakland market and she helped us understand the different neighborhoods and markets in surrounding areas.
